In her web show "Critics" show and discuss Steve Weiss (Zacuto) and Philip Bloom (DSLR-video legend) films on YouTube , Vimeo find, and so on. A few days ago the third season of this show has started and the number of currently available episodes has increased so to 13.
Not only the films that show you are Philip and Steve, each time anew real eye-catcher. The two presenters themselves are great. Must see!

On 04 November is the movie "Buried" in the German cinemas. Unusually in this film is that it only in a coffin (!) plays. The critics falling over themselves with praise - also very unusual, because this is only the second film directed by Rodrigo Cortés.
The trailer reveals, unfortunately, quite a low level in the film to seeing camera settings. On the website he gives a few insights.

Biscuits Buttermilk Pancake Mix
Pimp my R-Strap
on the camera strap "R-strap" I was here already twice reported. For the first time just over a year when I bought the belt and was very satisfied ( link) and again about two months ago when I had made the belt the first time problems ( Link ).
What was happening?
Unlike other camera straps the camera while R-Strap is connected to the tripod socket with the belt.
The entire camera is now so when not in use, head over to the screw in the strap. Logically, that the screw should not again trigger the thread. But that's what I was about two months and happens again a few weeks ago. All high time to change something in the system.
The reason?
I suspect that the carbine has so entangled in the propeller, that this is not mehr drehen konnte.
Bislang allerdings with the same vulnerability.
Recently, the company now has a screw with integral ball bearings range. The bracket rotates independently of the screw. Great, because so it is no longer the contact from the strap to the screw possible to release the screw to the camera.
this screw I've bought separately for my R-Strap him with it and made usable again for me. On the carbine I did not move - the screw is now included in the belt.
My tip

Das "Protection"-Video hingegen is only a one-cut style video. Something is likely to shoot at a stretch and be as good as impossible ...
And to finish, a little teaser of what next week will be seen here:

Lollipop Center Pieces
stage lights with a difference ...
had in my work as a concert photographer, I now well over 100 bands in front of the lens. One might therefore think that they have experienced in all sorts of oddities that time again. Well, think again!
had when I used this year on the Tauber Valley Festival I previously maddest stage lights at all - at The Prodigy . The light is not possible to describe, you must have seen! All the better that there are now videos of the festival on the net. Here, then, first of all an idea what was going on there on the spot:
Looks a bit confused? Yes, that's it! And seeing standing right in front of the stage and through the camera viewfinder again a number that was brutal. To me it was not possible to photograph more than two minutes at a time - that was not previously happened to me. The flickering, Geblinke, etc., and this provided the music for this short Zeit quasi für einen optischen "Overload".
end so pure "on-good-luck" Taking pictures with about 90% of waste. My personal negative record! Ultimately
are still some reasonably presentable pictures came out here, which are then developed more with luck than with skill.
I am very curious how this experience can improve still. The bar is very high!
